Have been trying to set up this machine without the help of my techie spouse and was concerned that this fix might be too complicated for me--but it's not! Have been searching for and downloading various Palm software products with the hope that I can continue to run the Palm Tungsten C and retrieve all of my old data. When I extract the files, I get a pdf for installation, a security catalog, setup information, system file, and a .dll application extension.Trying to sync my E2 via an USB cable I'm not computer savvy and I'm running windows 7. So you just need to install whatever version of the Palm Desktop you prefer to work with, skip the "first hotsync" step, download and install the right Aceeca driver (x86 or Usb Driver For Windows 8 64 Bit Free Download I also had to unassign my password as I got serious trouble when the sync asked for a password although I never had a password setup in my Tungesten E.

I've been told software that will run Vista should be able to run Windows 7.Also, I checked both firewalls: Windows 7 and Norton 360 to insure that the "HotSync Manager Application" Updating Windows does not glean me working Palm software for Win7.

If your Tungsten C has bluetooth, it would be the first one I know of and worthy of a new discussion. It shows up in the Device manager as a palm device but when i select Hotsync it just doesn't run.
Should I uninstall it?How do I get a yellow triangle to show up in the “Other” section of the Device Manager? Download the drivers and Extract them to the same folder.
